3 year old killed by Methadone overdose
An article in the Daily Mail today reports of a 3 year old little girl being killed by her "junkie" mother. The report says that the mother gave her daughter methadone to try and make her sleep.
The inquest yesterday heard how the little girl died from methadone poisoning in October of 2006. Coroner Peter Bedford said he was aware that methadone had been used by drugs users in the past to sedate their children, however he could not be certain how the child came to ingest the fatal drugs.
