Jersey drugs officer list compiled
Jersey's Health and Social Services Minister has authorised a new list of officers who can inspect premises where controlled drugs are kept.
A decision has been made under the Misuse of Drugs Safe Custody Order of 1981 stating which officers have been given the power. The Chief Pharmacist has passed on the list to police. Senator Ben Shenton has given the officers the power to inspect stocks of drugs. They can also demand to see any controlled drugs registers, books and other documents required in respect of the producing, obtaining or supplying of drugs.
