Are robots the future of Pharmacy?

A "robotic pharmacist has revolutionised the way a Peterborough hospital dispenses and stocks drugs.

The robot costing £220,000 can fill a box for a ward round in three minutes at Edith Cavell Hospital, in Bretton, Peterborough, by using its three robotic controlled arms.

It also restocks itself over night to save time and currently dispenses most of the stock items for ward and departments as well as 80% of patients' medication."
